Antarctic Connections - A school competition in Hobart
We asked Hobart high school students from grades 8-10 to tell us a story about Hobart's connection with Antarctica, in an image and 100 words. Students from Taroona High School stole the show with some fabulous images, powerful poems and surprising stories of the city's Antarctic connections. From the weather to the stars, famous Hobartian explorers, wildlife, industry, science and even baked beans, students made a strong statement about Hobart's many and diverse connections with Antarctica. Here is a collection of the winners.
