To develop the sustainability profile below, the Hobart Assessment Panel met initially in a half-day workshop in 2017 to conduct the Hobart assessment. It was done initially as a Rapid Assessment by 17 experts in Hobart, part of the larger Critical Reference Group, each with expertise across the four domains of ecology, economics, politics and culture. We divided in these four groups with facilitators and scribes in each group, and responded to the main question in each of the subdomains with reference to the third-level aspects, roughly annotating the assessment as we went along. The core team from Western Sydney University and the University of Tasmania, then went through the assessment refining and developing both the annotations and assessment details. This draft was then circulated to the whole Critical Reference Group for further discussion and refinement, building towards the Annotated Assessment Profile in 2018 (which you see below).
